Makeup Tricks from Fashion Week You Can Use Every Day

Makeup Tricks from Fashion Week You Can Use Every Day

Fashion Week around the globe is flooded with beauty tricks and trends that are always evolving and constantly keeping us on our toes. During this notoriously famous week, the world’s most talented artists join forces to create beauty from head to toe, all while teaching us beauty tricks we can use every day right at home. Today, I’m sharing three Fashion Week makeup tips that you can use everyday:

1. All that glitters

Makeup artists backstage utilized sparkle and glitter on eyes and lips this season for the Fall/Winter 2014 shows. While anything in excess can sometimes be wonderful, it’s good to remember that a little glitter goes a long way. Instead of using excessive amounts on the lips or eyes, try a soft, eyeshadow with a glittery sheen or glitter eyeliner to amp up your eye makeup for a night out.

2. Dew you like my skin?

Dewy skin – one of the most coveted looks to conquer – is flattering for almost anyone, anywhere. Keeping in mind the concept is to look healthy and refreshed, avoid products that look extremely shiny or oily on the skin. A great way to accomplish a dewy complexion is to mix your sheer foundation or concealer in with a conditioning skin oil or moisturizer. This gives the “barely there” naked makeup effect without needing to consistently blot excess shine away. Add a subtle touch of highlight on the cheekbones for the perfect sheen.

3. Berry nice eyes

A lot of makeup artists created beautiful looks this season with berry-colored eyes. The trick? You can use lipstick or matte lip pencils and blend with your eye contour brush to add this subtle and sultry color as a perfect pop on the lids. Lip colors doubling as eye colors is a great way to add versatility to your existing products.
